I used it on my fridge/freezer to diagnose a problem. Its got a useful min and max temp feature so i could tell how far the temp had risen while it was on defrost. You can set a temperature alarm to sound at whatever temp you set it to, the alarm beeps for a couple of seconds once a minuite to save battery. I have been told it also has a low battery alarm not sure if its audiable or on the display as ive not got a flat battery to test it. Its not very acurate as it was reading 2 degrees colder than it actually was in my freezer but this was to be expected for the price.
