worth the money
Well worth the money it is light in weight sander, and its easy to use, even one handed, its not too noisy and the dust collection is very efficient. Not as powerful as more expensive brands but defo worth the money. ps, I seem to be shredding belts after about an hour, but they were given away with the purchase. NOT as user friendly as the older version
I was replacing an older Silverline which has given me good service, in my opinion this new one isn't as good. main reasons no flange on the drive roller for the sanding belt, no speed speed control (just an on/off trigger) and noise. So did use the old one to finish the 6' x 2' table

'Does everything it says on the box'
I bought this product to strip eight years varnish from my outside furniture consisting of an 2m table & six chairs. This after I had 'burnt out' my smaller sander before I had even done a chair. No such problem with the Silverline Sander it not only stripped the varnish with ease but left the table/chairs needing only a light sanding to make them ready for oiling. Light robust
mid priced item . Turned out to be better quality than expected. Powerful action , very useful lock on switch and adapter to clamp upside down converting it to a bench tool . Not to heavy. Belt Sander
First time to buy and use one of these, so thought this was a good buy together with 20 or so belts. Very easy to use and aligning and replacing the belts also easy. I am sanding pallet wood for future garden seating project and although it's adequate for the task, I think a more powerful one may make the task a bit quicker.
