Ultimate Disappointment
If you can picture the flimsiest piece of polyester webbing imaginable mated up to a couple of pieces of cheap and nasty PU coated leather then that would be a start to understanding my disappointment with this item. The webbing material is so thin and has such sharp edges that it attempts to saw it's way into any exposed skin when worn, particularly around the wearer's neck if wearing a T-Shirt. It is also incredibly slippery - if you have a headstock heavy guitar it will attempt to kneecap you as soon as you remove your fretting hand from the neck ! The PU coated leather strap ends are almost impossible to fit over even the slimmest of strap buttons and in use produce a lot of squeaks and creaks which if fitted to an electro-acoustic are amplified to obscene levels sounding like the worst case of flatulence ever ! The best part about this strap is the machine embroidered Fender logo (I'll turn a blind eye to the associated puckering of the surrounding webbing here) which is very well executed - it's just a shame that the good name of Fender is now indelibly associated with such an utter P.O.S. of an item. Message to Fender - must do better - there is no excuse for such dire quality these days !
