After centre drilling two 5/16 sheared off exhaust bolts I tried a bolt extractor but that sheared off as well. I bought this little cutter and used it in a cordless drill. It nibbled away the remains of the extractor and then the bolts and left two clean holes for re tapping. Took a little time but it worked well.
