This is a really nice product. I think it's a little bit on the expensive side given what you get--but most of that is due to the high cost of shipping if you live in the US like I do or elsewhere besides Great Britain. I think the exchange rate can be an issue as well. The box is made out of fairly heavy sheet metal and it's spot welded together. The workmanship is very good. This should be the last box you ever need to buy. It's made that well. Here's the only 3 issues I had that could be considered negative. Issue #1 : There is not template for marking the 4 mounting holes for the 4 small L brackets. A template would make the job so much easier and the box the product is packaged in for shipping would be perfect as a template. Issue #2 : The 4 L brackets are small but are a heavy enough gauge material for the job of holding the box to the door but the screws that hold the brackets to the box are very small so I replaced them with #8 machines screws with lock washers and washers for a more robust mounting set up. The #8 machine screws were larger and fit perfectly without having to drill bigger holes. Issue #3: The box in the picture gives you the idea that it has a brushed stainless steel finish which is what I was really looking for. The box is actually painted silver/grey color. All things considered this is still a wonderful product and much better and tougher than the cages and bags that I looked at. It was really the only nice alternative I could find.Read full review

The material is lightweight and flimsy, Defo not worth over £30 , disappointed :( Then the installation was a nightmare.!! Holes are to close to either sides of the letter catcher and because the sides are not right angled it was extremely difficult to get a screw diver in the corners. Also No template so ur taking ages just to measure up. Only looks nice so I gave 2 stars. Dissatisfied customer.

I would say cheaper less attractive alternatives may be better to fit and last longer I have had to do a lot of work around to fit this like removing current letterbox which is not unregular in size. The top brackets are too close to letter box to fit as the fixing would be nicely concealed if this item was a little wider.

It is value for money but could be improved. The metal is thin and bends too easily. The fixing brackets had sharp burrs which could cause cuts or damage your post. I had to alter the fixings to fit around my letter box. It would be helpful if more dimensions and details of fixings were provided on their website. Apart from that it looks good and does the job.
