Soft and smooth
I was pleasantly surprised by the softness of the swabs. I use them for bathing my eyes daily as I have blepharitis and dry eye syndrome and need something with no linty bits to irritate my eyes. They do the job just fine and because I cut them up into 4 they will last me ages.
