Simple and cheap
Purchased these for some simple woodwork and masonry jobs around the garden. The first order had one cracked handle. I prompted for a replacement and one was given straight away, shamefully the next lot had again another cracked handle. As another reviewer said "handles are better off being replaced." They are cheap tools and do the job rather well. I recently recycled some old shed beams and this stripped a layer off easily and now the wood can be prepped for making a simple bird feeder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You get what you pay for
If like me you might only want them infrequently or for one job they'll be perfectly fine. At this price they are good value. If you want to use them hard then they might not last. I'm not sure as I haven't used mine yet, but these are not tools a professional would probably buy. These are cheap. And they feel it. The metal is spray coated in something which I think will quickly wear off. The handles are cheap hard plastic which don't feel rock solid. Cheap rasps, let down by poor quality handles
The rasps themselves are ideal for rough shaping of wood or cork. They are let down by the quality of the handles, two out of the three in my order being cracked straight out of the packaging. The handles are crucial to the ease and safety with which the files can be used. I replaced mine with proper file handles, attached with epoxy glue. if you do not do these the files are not safe to use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Files are good handles are terrible
I have just received my rasps in the post and on opening the packet I have noticed that the handles on two of them are badly cracked and loose. This is not a huge problem for me as I was planning to replace the handles anyway with round wooden ones. Cheap files for small jobs.
