Should be supplied as a standard fitting, not an extra!
The correct power unit for these transmitters. It's a shame that they don't come as standard on most of the kits. Do away with AA batteries

Spektrum Transmitter Battery
Do to the rules at our local club, I had to change the normal 4 batteries to a 7.4 Li-lon battery for safety. I'm glad I did, the battery is excellent, even has a charging socket so able to charge the battery in situ. Well worth the money, and with the adding bonus of knowing that you have a charge at all times, and not running out of the old style batteries when one goes flat.
