My old potato fork has started to fracture around one of the rivet holes. I estimate that it must be at least fifty years old. Looking at the construction of the Spear and Jackson fork I would not be surpised if it lasts as long, or even longer. The handle length is just right, about 100mm longer that my old one. I have just finished lifting half of my crop and the fork has been a treat to use. I would recomend anyone thinking of investing in this type of tool to choose this one. You will not be disappointed.
