  • Making 10.8v reciprocating saw

I bought this after being hugely impressed with Makita 10.8v drill and impact driver. It is well made, light, easy to use but unfortunately mildly underpowered. It is a useful tool to have in the toolbar for trimming odd bits of timber, studs, reaching awkward places to cut etc. But it will definetly not replace a mains powered saw. If you use it to cut anything approaching it's maximum rating it will struggle slightly, slow down and EAT batteries, even in bone dry timber. Having said that I am glad to have it, it is just not as useful as I had hoped. I suspect an 18v version would be better.
