Works great!
Much easier than trying to refill disposable canisters by pulling up on the relief valve with curved hemostats. I had mixed success with that.
First, the materials used and the design are clearly more durable. I use these canisters on a Lehr 2.5 outboard used on saltwater. The disposable canisters rusted immediately. These canisters are about 1/2" taller than the disposables, good to know if that makes a difference in your application. The diameter is the same.
When refilling, make sure the white plastic key engages the the canister properly. The Vimeo video recommended filling the canister until liquid propane poured out of the vent constantly. That resulted in a very full canister for me, about 2 lbs 7.2 oz. When I shook the canister there was little or no head space. When I attached the canister to an appliance that required the canister to lie on its side, liquid propane would pour out. Not good, even wearing gloves.
I now fill the canister until liquid propane just starts to leak out of the vent. That results in a fill of about 2 lbs 5.5 oz. When shaken, I can hear head space as I can when a shake a new disposable canister. In use that helped greatly, although gloves are still a good idea until you gain experience. If your appliance is used with the canister standing up, it probably doesn't matter.
