Love this item
I was dubious about how much use this item would get, but it's so easy to use and produces great results. I use it a lot, and it's lovely to be able to have 'special' coffees and hot chocolates for dinner parties and special occasions. Different functions are easy to use, the interior is very easy just to rinse then wipe with a sponge, and the lid and paddles go in the dishwasher when needed. Design Fault
Although generally happy wilth two cup size, there's a design fault. When the milk starts to froth, it rises in the frother. As the rim has been designed with a slight pouring spout, means the lid seal does not fit securly. This results in the froth pouring out of the jug and down to the base, which of course is where the jug gets it's power from. Good looking bit of kit but a little disappointed. Does the Job.
I bought this after my fancy Morphy Richards cappuccino maker died after about 20 uses (and I couldn't be bothered to argue with MR when they didn't seem interested in doing anything about it). I now use a simple espresso cafetiere plus this to make my weekend cappuccinos. I've gone through a number of different milk frothers--manual pumps, battery-operated whisks, and several that use the same technology as the VonShef--all with disappointing results. Some didn't froth reliably or at all, but the most common issue I've found is that, while they do froth milk, the foam they produce reverts to flat milk in no time...er...flat, when the foam is added to warm coffee. For some reason, the VonShef works where others, seemingly identical, don't. It froths the milk every time, and the milk stays foamy in my mug for several minutes until the coffee's gone...and then some.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Attractive and effective
The copper VonShef is a most attractive little machine, and a solid one. The set up is easy and the mechanics of using it even easier. It has a small footprint and so will take up little space. Milk is frothed to perfection, which is all I want it for. There is no mess and minimal cleaning, which if the machine is rinsed instantly, is little more than wiping with a damp cloth. Way too small
This warms and froths the milk quickly and effectively but the volume of milk it takes is tiny! Might be ok for adding to a coffee but I bought it for my daughter who likes to make hot chocolate with all milk and it doesn't even take half a mug! very disappointed. Proper frother

Simple to use and the family loves it
It whips up the milk in no time at all, the kids love it for a hot chocolate, extra frothy and a real treat. I love my Tassimo and this goes perfectly with it, making a wonderful cappuccino.
