Possible fault with these machines
There is a weakness in the Alternator end mounting lugs (possibly a manufacturing problem) which makes them very liable to transit damage. I received one with a broken lug, returned it for a replacement only to find that this one too had a broken lug, the opposite one this time. luckily the supplier accepted it back for a full refund very promptly. to my mind this is due to to one of two causes and most likely a combination of both 1. A Design or Manufacturing problem on the part of the manufacturers. They are of Chinese manufacture and these lugs on both the machines I received show signs of shrinkage voids and cooling cracks on all of the lugs pointing to an inherent problem which may well cause premature failure in service. 2. Rough handling in transit They are not packaged particularly well, coming in a simple cardboard box with little support underneath and no indication as to right way up, bearing in mind the weight of the machine this makes them very vulnerable at all stages of transit. These would be good capable machines were it not for this problem in a major structural component I would urge purchasers to check them carefully on arrival for this type of damage before putting them into serviceVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
