With some tweaking it can perform
It needed some adjusment: Flattening the sole and the bed mainly. The blade had to be replaced because both the supplied one and one replacement blade from the manufacturer does not keep its edge, they chip with only a few passes. A Stanley blade works, but lateral adjustment is stuck a little. The tweaking so far took around two hours and I added some tool oil to the moving parts of the adjustments. Some tweaking is expected for this price, and having done that, it can perform well. I hope I can solve the only remaining issue.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Block Plane was in perfect condition, not a spot of rust on the body or adjustment parts. It did need to be sharpened, but that was mentioned in original description, The crack on top of wooden box was no big deal, most likely crack was an impact crack, not very noticeable and was mentioned also.
