Yes BUT..........
ACERA is an entry level product and these are factory seconds so don't expect much. They need some tweaking to use them. They are not plug and play. Shimano does make some great parts and some really good parts they also make some very average even below average parts. These Shimano Acera brake parts will repair or replace big box and department store bike brakes and will probably even upgrade big box bike brakes. BUT compared to almost any aftermarket brake parts by serious mountain bike component manufacturers, spend a few bucks more and you can get much better parts and don't you want the best brakes you can get for the money you have available to spend. I would not buy these if I could do it over. REI has new Avid levers that are well priced and twice as good a product as these Acera levers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Shimano Quality, No Less
Mounted these on a road bike riser bar conversion. Nice pieces, well made (Shimano quality) came with real Shimano brake cable housing, but the cables were galvanized, not stainless steel. Well, can't have everything for the price. They're not speed dial like Avid, but I like that simple look better, i.e minus the little knobs protruding. Installation was straight forward, just like on MTB bars. Operation feel is smooth and a firm pull on Tektro 570 road caliper brakes. I'd think they will work fine with any make road caliper brakes. I didn't weigh them, so no idea how they match up with other brands. They're paired with some XT 9-speed thumb shifters. Together, it's a super clean look. great short pull levers for road caliper brakes
Put flat bar on my road bike and needed brake levers to replace STI brifters but worried about compatibility. MTB flat bar levers are long pull but these were designed for hybrid bikes! The short pull assures adequate grab and leverage for rim brakes. These work great and long enough for 3 finger grab. Also reach is adjustable.
