Good points with this kit: 1 - options to build early or late Bf 109 G-6's (low/raised fin, early / late Erla Canopy), early late bulges 2 - many detailed parts 3 - good fit 4 - fine recessed lines 5 - interesting and accurate decoration for one JG51 and one JG5 aircraft 6 - many stencils to complete the decoration Negative items (these minor items will only disturb the most discerning modelers) : 1 - Revell only represented a few big rivets, expert modelers now expect fine rivet lines on 1/32 scale models 2 - exhaust pipes are not hollowed 3 - no photo-etched parts, that would help to represent harnesses 4 - compressor air intake is slightly off in shape 5 - there are some flashes on the parts, but they are easy to remove

This kit was released in 2013 then followed by the G10 kit in 2014. Usual open end revell box. Never a fan of this type. The plastic is clean with no flash. Nice decals by revell of Italy. So maybe Catogragh. Either early or late versions can be built.

Revell have really pulled the stops out with this kit of the Gustav Version of the Bf109 WW2 German single seat fighter. The kit features early and late part options to build your model as a Late or Early Gustav. This late to the war aircraft had changes and improvements, refinements as late as 1944-5. Most of these are parts to refine the control surfaces, such as the ailerons and horizontal stabilizers, the rudder and ammo blisters in front of the pilot. This kit does not come with a pilot figure, in my view the kits only minus, as I was making this model depicted in flight, I purchased an after-market resin figure, who fitted in the cockpit perfectly with a little height adjustment to his seat. On The whole I'm impressed with how this kit fitted together with no assembly issues, decals included for both versions are top notch quality.Read full review
