Bought with the intended use on my Crosman 2240 with a steel breech. No filling to make it fit on the dovetails was necessary. With aging eyes, the answer has very gladly been the peep sight. With the distance this pistol is properly held away from your sighting eye, I recommend the use of a twilight .150 aperture. The only issue I found with this sight right now is with the ghost ring/windage adjustment piece. While the adjustment range is sufficient, the tolerance between it's mounting is, in my opinion, too great. This tolerance allows the piece to tilt forward or backward as the lock down screw is tightened. Also recommend the use of a custom fiber-optic front sight available from "needful things" here on Ebay.
