Keeps you on your toes.
Whilst brilliant and well made, this is perfect for small rodents, dwarf hamsters, mice. Unfortunately my syrian is up and over it in seconds, to the dismay of my cat who would rather her stay behind bars. It is fun catching her though, and definitely promotes handling and contact, which is what I got it for. Will be investing in a bigger one though. If your pet is a climber it will definitely keep you on toes. I can't really complain about the product though, it is what it is and it's well made and sturdy enough. Great for gerbils...
They can be left for a while, but not high enough for syrian hamsters, as they can stretch and climb up and out at the corners. So they need supervision at all times. I put a sheet of cardboard on top at the farthest end away from me to make a roof, and keep tubes and toys away from the edges, to stop my escapologist :DVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great play area for our dwarf hamster
Great play area for our dwarf hamster and also handy as a "fence" to restrict where he can get to when in his ball. So far he's not managed to climb up or jump over. Gerbils can get out
