Its very well made. Great material/quality. It fits my dog very well and she doesnt seem to mind wearing it to much...I'm not sure it will do everything as it promises as far as calming dog anxiety...she still licks and barks while wearing it, but its effectiveness could just depend on the dog. Good idea but doesn’t seem to help my dogs
The shorts are good quality but I can’t that my dogs are helped by them. I have three dogs and they are all afraid of thunder. I was hoping they would work. Two of my dogs don’t mind wearing them and they might be just a bit calmer. The other one doesn’t like the way it feels. He keeps shaking, like they do when they’re wet or trunk to shake something off. I’m still going to try them a little longer, but my husband was skeptical to begin with and now that we don’t see much improvement he doesn’t think I should put them on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cautiously optimistic.
Arrived quickly and in very good condition. I have only started getting my dog accustomed to it. The velcro is a little annoying to her but she is showing a little less anxiety during the rain and thunder we’ve had lately. I am hoping that she will continue to progress as time goes by. I thought it worked instantly
I have a mix pug, beagle and boston, adopted when he was one year old, he barks all the time, constantly, we slipped the coat on and at first he ran around in circles, rubbed up on the furniture to get rid of it, but within 5 minutes was good, he seemed to stop the barking and I put it on him when we leave, didn't find things chewed on like my grandson's train tracks that he pulled from the container and chewed although he has a chewy bone. I think the more we use this coat the better it will get, I just ordered one for my bulldog, just to have her feel better although she is older and slower, I think it would be a nice comfort to her! Really helps
I am a dog walker and dread when my neighbors go on vacation and I have to walk their dog. He goes crazy and pulls, jumps all through the walk, and freaks out when he sees another dog or anyone walking by. I really didn't think this thundershirt would work but anything was worth the try so I bought him one. I still walked him very early and late to avoid trouble but I couldn't believe how much it calmed him down. He was not 100% perfect but went down from about a 9.5 to a 3 on the wild and crazy scale. Great help to calm down my Boston.
My dog is so afraid of storms that she starts shaking just with the falling raindrops. The ThunderShirt calms her down big time and she loves to wear it. When she's afraid and anxious and shaking frantically, I take the ThunderShirt and she starts jumping in front of me. Thunder "WORKS"!
Was skeptical, not any more. It REALLY works! We have used "Vet suggested Sileo", for treatment of noise aversion in dogs, "ie Thunder freak out". It helped about 50% but the Thunder Shirt alone was 75%+ effective alone! Combined together our dog doesn't suffer from thunder anymore! Helps very much with a scared smallish dog in class
Have a 7-year-old, 25-lb poodle-terrier mix who was dumped on a rural road and rescued by us four years ago. He's never quite recovered from that trauma, although he is mostly a normal, joyful, playful dog who does great at home with our other dogs and cats. He was well-trained when he came to us. Terrified of the vets, and most recently terrified at my taking him to a doggy socialization/manners class. Shakes to pieces in either place -- until I put the Thundershirt on him. He's since been to the vet, and to class, and I can't believe the difference. He's still scared, but working through it and not utterly terrified.
