Great DIYer tool
Great depth identification, accuracy as so so easy to use. So much better and accurate than tools I used 20 years ago. Just a bit too expensive!
I've read various reports, both good and bad, but it works fine for me. Sure, it can be a bit vague where walls have irregularities within (holes, different cement/bricks, etc etc), but it has been accurate every time I've used it. I do go over an area more than once and sort of "refine" the areas it detects things, if that makes sense? My only gripe is the price of the whole Bosch detector range.....they're just a bit too expensive in my opinion, but if drilling through a pipe or wire is a possibility, then all of a sudden, they look like good value :-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Generally good so far
Have not used it a lot yet but seems to be very accurate at detecting cables. But sometimes you need to earth the wall with a finger because it bleeps when it is not near cables. Apparently plasterboard doesn't earth electricity. Im sure improvements could be made to the device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

not a panacea that's for sure
I thought it would be an improvement over my old GMS120 but no, whilst it has much better display information but in the detection ability, it's "granularity" (ability to accurately pinpoint hidden pipes iron bars and joists) behind brickwork, masonry, plasterboard and plaster is hardly any better than my previous model which wasnt very good in the first place.
