Stylish, Convenient and Simple to Use,
Have been steaming food for several years. This is one of the few steamers on the market offering metal trays rather than plastic, at a reasonable price. Plastic trays, with their plastic lids do not always form a good seal, allowing steam to escape and they get stained and scratched over time. These trays are large enough for healthy, family sized meals whilst using one tray is ideal for the quick one-person meal. With a little practice it is simple to time the cooking to produce the desired level of steaming. Generally, hard vegetables such as carrots and potatoes need around 15-20 minutes, and cauliflower getting done in around 10 mins. Fish, placed in a DIY cooking-foil pouch with herbs and spices gets done in less than 10 mins. The water top-up feature on the side means you do not have to lift the trays, thus avoiding the risk of scolded fingers and loosing valuable steaming pressure. The trays can be stacked upside down for storage but this looks so good that it stays on display on the worktop and is used almost daily.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent Steamer
This is my third Tefal. They have all been good and all still working. The old ones I either give away or keep as a back up. This one seems to be the best and they continue to improve. Apart from the rice maker container being a little small this steamer is the best of all! Well made, good looking, compact and stackable, easy to clean. I am really pleased with this purchase albeit a little on the expensive side. Brilliant Steamer
Love this it’s sturdy and works very well, the food is easy to remove from the round bowls as the bottoms are not removable, it also folds down for easy storage, the only disappointment is the plastic bowl for rice etc, it’s far too small as would only make enough for one portion or two small portions it’s only suitable for peas but a glass Pyrex bowl works fine for rice. Superior steamer
This is a robust steamer with a large capacity This is the ideal size for a family of 4 to 6. You can use just one level and that would be more than adequate for 2 people. The stainless steel baskets are much better than the plastic ones and easier to clean. Excellent in doing what its made for the only fault is when first used couldn't see where orange light was showing to say steamer was working Its at the very bottom of the side window that shows water level ( its not very bright ) would have been much better had it been behind the time dial so when switched on showed a orange circle light round the switch Baskets can be used as strainers when not being used on steamer for washing vegetables etc. baskets are dishwasher safe being stainless steel recommendVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Metal steamer
This has to be the best steamer I’ve ever bought and I’ve had quite a few, got sick of the plastic bases snapping on previous ones and not even lasting a year. We use the steamer everyday and it’s not tarnished as I thought it may do when using tin foil or cabbage.
