Antennas do what they're supposed to do

There are several stations located 25 miles southeast of my home, and another several stations 55 miles due west of my home. I purchased the 2-pack with the idea that I could point one antenna towards one group of stations and point the second antenna toward the other group. The result was that the stations 25 miles away come in perfectly clear. However the stations 55 miles away sometimes come in good, sometimes distorted, sometimes not at all. A friend in the business told me that this type of antenna isn't really for long distance; that they're designed for about 40 miles max. He did suggest to me, however (I haven't tried it yet) that if I wired the two antennas in parallel and pointed both of them at the stations 55 miles away, I would probably get good results. To summarize, I would say if you're trying to pick up stations within 40 miles you will be pleased with this purchase. If the stations are more than 40 miles away you could try pointing both antennas in that direction. Good Luck.

  • Most critical review

    Deceptive product

Picture looks good but when you go to assemble it,there are no instructions and there are missing parts.(end cap).Construction quality is poor.Aluminum is very thin on the housing.Center element has no locking mechanism.Poor sensitivity on ch.7.Had digital breakup.Hooked my old antenna up.Ch.7 was good. Can not reccomend!

  • If you are in a bad area nothing will work

Other than missing 2 bolts and nuts all was good however I live in an area that has poor reception. To mount on the roof I'm under trees. I tried on a post but that isn't doing any better. My attic install would be difficult so for now I have a flat plastic antenna with an amplifier built in and I'm getting most of my locals. I have an option that requires at least 100' of coaxial cable that I may try someday but for now I'll live with what I'm using.

  • Good analog and Digital VHF/UHF Signals

I can't say more better things. Of course you must consider the line of sight of terrain buildings and trees. I have a few edgewise tree lines effecting signal a little bit plus suspect strong interfering congested wifi and other cell phone like digital signals multi dwelling apt units but still picking up a good 36 VHF/UHF channels direction toward the SW and back side from Palm Beach Gardens Florida zip 33410 at 17 foot height from apartment balcony railing. Nice and compact installation and low profile. Also use antenna to pick up analog signals- aircraft in air and also some ground handling operations reception darn good to me that's hard from 15 miles out from airport, VHF and UHF frequencies receive well. Very directional and light weight. Waiting to install online wide band 0.1 to 1000mhz amp. Works well now I can imagine how much better with the wide band amp will work especially for my HDTV and scanner. Will adjust just the right amount voltage to power for the least noise and best gain combination without overload with 9 volt battery for amp. Highest more distant reception always at nite. Digital signals are always a pain to get that's with every antenna. The analog scanner I received some chatter at a 50+ mile range from unicom radio air traffic. Latest as of 01/13/2018 I received 63 channels after a little tweaking of antenna direction between SSW and S. I am getting stations 61 miles away from Hollywood Florida which has transmitters for Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. Propogation is good but antenna still peforms very well. I am impressed! If you get this antenna on a high attic area and line of shot wow you will see the performance and difference to flat panel antennas and other Chinese made fake or cloned similar antennas!

  • Great Antenna at a Great Price

Great, well made Antenna for the Attic that includes mounting pole. Small but pulls in all the OTA channels (55) in our area in Florida, 34747. We tied it into our home cable system where the Cable TV line used to come in. Nice to cut the cable after their rates went from $99 a month to $172 a month. Didn't seem to need an amplifier with 4 Tv's connected but all homes are different. Works great for us, glad we didn't waste money on the higher priced similar ones....

  • Mind boggling - extremely powerful compact size I own four B where certain sellers that triple the price

My name is John I live in rural South Eastern New Hampshire. I get 60 channels with a 30' mast. It's pointed at 222° --- I get all Boston as well as Portland Maine stations each 60 miles away. If you have access to your roof and you can build A simple mast---Buy this.

  • Amazing reception

Went to the otadtv (over the air digital tv) website to find out how high (10 ft) and what direction (south east) to point the antenna. Not only does this antenna provide a crystal clear signal from a broadcast distance of 35 miles, but it also picks up stations over 50 miles away in the wrong direction with only minor pixelation. I used an amplified 4 way splitter with 6dB of gain and now I have free TV in every room of the house.

  • Small but Powerful

This antenna is a great value. Over the years the wind destroyed my old antenna. This little amplified antenna is half the size of my old one. I was surprised with the performance and the wind is not it's enemy. My most distant stations are 60 miles and I have a sharp picture. I am very pleased!

  • Paired up with double beam ota antenna

I currently have a double beam ota antenna pulling in channels 75 miles away facing a northerly direction. But I wanted some PBS channels directly to the southwest so I purchaced the GE YAHI antenna. I mounted It approx. 2' below the double beam antenna set it to the compass direction SW per tower location , and it works flawlessly pulling signal 54' miles. Oh the pole there mounted on is approx. 25 to 30' ft.
