This is a very handy, versatile and practical tool. Well-built, solid and durable. My only criticism is the the way the string is attached to the plumb bob, which I think is not only difficult but also might effect the precision. OK, i know its cheap and what can you expect for so low a price? Well, as a lump of metal it is not too bad and looks the business. The design would be better if the string did not have to locate through the centre and then out to one side of the bob to secure, this causes it to hang slightly off centre rather than perpendicular. Not good for accuracy. The worst aspect though is the string itself which snapped when i lowered the bob on first use ( i was gentle!) I tied a knot in it and tried again, another snap! Had to replace this weak and ineffective string with a decent piece. So there you have it, as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
