Good single-handed splitter.
A good length axe for powerful and accurate single-handed splitting. Not as weighty as the X27 (and nowhere near as pokey, obviously) and more grunty than the X7. All in all a nice size for logs up to around 150mm in diameter.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A wieldy and nicely weighted Axe
First used to cut small logs with ease. I used it to cut out some sections of a walnut log.. Thereby requiring more precision than power.. It felt like a suitable tool for the job.. I ought to of used a chisel and mallet but I wanted to see how the exe would do: 'Well' is the answer. The blade cover is a good addition and is made to last. I wanted this so I can have it stowed anywhere in my van or home and know that it's not going to do anyone a mischief. Also gives me confidence my son can fit the cover, walk around safely with it. The Fiskars X11 Splitting axe
Bought the Fiskars X11 splitting axe after doing a bit of you tube research after receiving it then using the axe i was nt disapointed ,super sharp out of the seath ideal for anyone splitting the own firewood so good i ve just bought the bigger brother the X17 as well for larger logs . Very useful addition to my axe drawer
Very effective for splitting small to medium logs one handed. Handle is slightly too small in diameter for my big hands making holding it quite tiring after thirty minutes or so. But a good axe none the less. Too heavy for kindling though. For kindling get a lighter axe with a shorter handle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Effortless log splitting!!
OK - I haven't bought an axe for many years, so followed the great reviews for the X11 by Fiskars. And I can now add my own endorsement - This is an unbelievable bit of kit which slices effortlessly through logs of up to 250mm in diameter - These are the largest I have so cannot confirm beyond this. A serviceable thing o' purpose
All that I'd expect from Fiskars. Lighter, obviously that the axe I have already. Similarly free from back vibration if I strike the back of the axe with a hammer. Makes doesn't recommend this but I still do it when splitting and it works fine so long as you don't hit so hard you spread the metal. My six year old grandson, well trained in safety and axe handling, can manage this smaller axe for splitting straight grain logs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
