The original, high quality part
This is the original strap for GW 5000 series of Casio watches. It’s made of nicer and more pliable rubber/plastic compound and it has a very nice matte finish that makes it look very dark gray. I wore one on my watch for 11 years before I replaced them due to deterioration. Over time they will lose their matte finish and become smoother , they will begin to crack and weaken due to exposure to sun, sweat and other elements. The GW 5000 watch, on the other hand will last you a lifetime; it’s practically indestructible. So it’s a good idea to get extra strap(s) and bezel(s). They are inexpensive compared to the price of watch. I wish, they were as durable as the watches themselves. But 11 years of very tough wear is pretty good in my book. Also, keep in mind that this strap replaces the strap on GW 5000 B (negative/reverse dial model with black buckle and buttons), yet it only comes with silver buckle. Buckle can be easily replaced with the black one so don’t throw away your old GW 5000 B hardware when you’re replacing the strap and bezel; it can alway be reused.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Much better, but not the best
This strap is far superior in comfort to the conventional G-Shock resin strap that typically comes with 5600s. That said, I still found that my wrist size is such I was between holes on this strap, which was a maddening game of too tight/too loose all day long. To its credit, the strap is so supple that I initially didn't realize it was wearing it too tightly until the end of the day when I removed it and could see red indentation marks on the underside of my wrist. It is definitely an upgrade, but I'll probably keep looking for better alternatives.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
