Tamron 35mm F1.8 VC
The lens is of Pro build quality and finished off with weather sealing. Image quality is superb. Really sharp even wide open. Focus is fast and accurate. The close focus ability is fantastic... almost functions as a macro lens. The VR of course is another major boon. The only downside is that it does produce some both purple and green fringing, which of course can be corrected via photoshop ect. The bokeh is fantastic for a wide lens too. All in all... to my mind... this is currently the best 35mm lens in existence today, despite it being an F1.8 rather than the more normal F1.4 of other Pro lenses. Another major plus for this lens is that it does not suffer from focus shift ! Very Highly Recommended !

Not Cheap but really Excellent Quality
This lens produces really excellent output with my D5. In practice it is on a par with the Sigma Art 50mm which I also own. The combination of VC and f1.8 gives Phenomenal low light performance. If you can afford it you wont be dissapointed. Build quality up there with the very best
