Top-notch UTG Tactical Bipod
This UTG bipod is a top-notch unit that ships with a dual-mount system: separate, attachable picatinny/weaver and sling-swivel mounts. (Read reviews on Amazon [1,648], OpticsPlanet [136 reviews] and elsewhere, and you'll find that these more-than-1,700 buyers have combined to produce a collective 4.5-out-of-5-star rating.) The springs, of course, function to retain and facilitate deployment of the legs, and pushing in the round knob on each leg allows for extension from 7.9" to 12.7". (Just be aware that UTG/Leapers has released an updated model based on this unit. [I learned this after buying, but of little consequence, it seems to me.]) For tactical rails the picatinny/weaver mount does work better with a picatinny system, but a little manipulation on a weaver rail allows you to find the right spot. This bipod can, of course, be mounted in either direction to accommodate, for example, other attached accessories. Additionally, this UTG bipod is adequately sturdy, in my opinion (although a projection), for either a picatinny or weaver system for any caliber rifle/carbine UP TO--from my personal readings, but NOT experience--a .300 Win Magnum or .338 Lapua. For either one of these calibers, or a .50, etc., you'll need to look elsewhere, I think. (UTG makes a "super duty" such bipod for around $50 [online], as I recall.) This UTG bipod ships--as do all UTG products, it seems--in very attractive "display"-type clear-plastic packaging, and includes a user manual and Allen wrench (along with the aforementioned two mounts).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
