  • Great sound, but little bit hard, can be cheaper.

I am beginner guitarist and at the start Nickel Bronze thought a little bit harder to my fingers than other 2 strings I tried: D'addario 80/20 BRONZE (EJ11) and PHOSPHOR BRONZE (EJ16). You also need to strum harder. But sound I really like. Also Nickel Bronze is 2x expensive than 80/20 BRONZE (EJ11). Next time I think I go with 80/20 BRONZE (EJ11), because they are 2x cheaper and not so hard and have a deeper tone. But I think is worth to try. If you have a hard fingers and you like to strum hard, I think you can really like them. If you like warmer tone, I think PHOSPHOR BRONZE (EJ16) is better choice.

  • Different sound and worth a try out

I put these on a Taylor acoustic to try them out. I usually use Elixir strings on that guitar. I played them out at an acoustic session the other night and they are noticeably quieter overall in terms of cutting through when strummed and the sound travelling in a noisy environment (I play fingerstyle without a plectrum so need a bit of loudness/brightness from strings). They have a nice balanced, warmer 'vintage' tone for fingerpicking though and I think they'll work well for recording as they have less of the zingy overtone of the Elixirs.

  • Best yet.

Buck for buck the change to these from a variety of other 'market leaders' has been remarkable. All the claims are real and the difference to my instrument is notable. Was wondering about another 'titanium' option but thought the cost a bit high. D'addario Yeah.!

  • Worth it

Required very little time to settle. Clear & quite direct sound. Sound great for finger picking. Quite bright and punchy on my little "00" parlor sized mahogany guitar when strummed. Wonderful sustain.

  • Worth the price.

Lovely natural tone on a Guild D35, good for five or six gigs.

  • Nice strings

Tone is so natural, and it's feel is great on my fingers, it's a bit softer than the other strings for me so I'm pretty like it
