leaking batteries IN toy
Batteries were in toy when received and had leaked leaving corrosion. Outside of box states in small print after the 18+ months batteries are included, HOWEVER, this is not displayed in listing picture. Had it been visible may not have purchased toy. After hours of using toothpicks, cotton swabs, tweezers, baking soda and vinegar the toys is finally working. This is a 2006 toy with battery expiration date of 2009.

Funny but required fixing
The toy didn't operate at all when it first arrived. The batteries that I guess were put in the product in 2010 were corroded and had leaked inside the feet. After spending a bit of time cleaning and adding new batteries it did end up working but a little concerned as to how long that will last. Works intermittently
Received without instructions. Removed the corroded batteries that were in place and cleaned up as much corrosion as I could. Elmo worked, then wouldn't work, then sometimes works. He will not go through the complete routine. Specifically, he will not stand up after being on his back. Elmo isn't fully functional
Emo started malfunctioning about two after I got it I was turning him on about once every other day. He had brand new Duracall pro batteries. His right arm gets stuck. He can't sit up. He doesn't kick his legs anymore when he's on his back . He doesn't turn over at all and slat the floor like he first did. I really wanted him to work. Batteries should be removed when saving old toys.
The toy is in perfect condition on the outside. Looks good enough to give as a gift. Don't know if it works yet. The batteries were left in the toy and several have corroded. I'm trying to clean them up to see if they will work. One is pretty bad.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tickle me Elmo new in the box
Only one of the Elmo’s is total working order. I had ordered a new in the box previously which did not work so happy to have at least one of the two work. Was surprised the batteries installed in 2006 were not totaled corroded only one battery had leaked. New product with rusty batteries
