TRIXIE SYRIAN HAMSTER MOUSE BIRGER HOUSE HIDE NATURAL WOOD PLAYGROUND
We have two hamsters, (Obviously in two separate environments, a wee tiny Russian Dwarf, who loves her huge wood / perspex habitat, (115 x 60 x 60cm.)
And our Syrian hamster whom we bought this for. Our Syrian is called Mogwai, (I didn't name him, so am no takin the blame for it.) Anyway Mogwai is brilliant, but he is also blind.
(Of course we don't feed him after midnight. lol)
More then one vet has said its hard to tell with small animals how much or how little sight they have, but Mogwai doesn't react to light as he should. (whatever that means.)
Anyway through observation we think Mogwai can to an extent tell light from dark, but he finds most things by scent, and like all hamsters he is very curious loves to explore.
Have a very thick layer of carefresh on the bottom of his large, (78 x48cm cage,) in case he falls, but the fact is he loves to climb.
This toy has got to be the best thing we have ever bought him, he loves it, he doesn't climb up the side where the jut out bits are, (he does chew them though.)
He hasn't as far as we are aware actually fallen and he seems content. Have had pet hamsters usually one after the other for around 23yrs, and they make brilliant, and entertaining to watch fur family members.
Vets say if his eye ever bothers him, they will remove it, praying it never does, because we dread the thought of him going under anaesthesia.
