Slugs!! Millions of them!
We live in the forest, and have slugs. LOTs of slugs. I'd tried pellets (and NEVER Metaldahyde....,it kills birds and animals who eat it!) and only Ferrous sulfate. We also have a lot of rain, so the pellets, powder, got sticky and useless. I was thinking I'd never have pansies or any tender plants. Then, I found Deadline Liquid. Wow! You put it around the plant when you plant it, and every month or so, renew it. It's a little labor intensive, but it WORKS! I've had pansies all summer, they don't bother my peas, and it's WONDERFUL! I've had people suggest beer, but it doesn't work. Deadline Liquid DOES.....and the critters don't pay attention to it, so aren't affected, except slugs, and snails....which we also have. I buy Deadline Liquid on sale, and use it ALL SUMMER! I have used this for 30 years, they have discontinued selling this product. The consistency of the product I just received is like runny water, the deadline I've bought in the past came out of the container very slowly, much thicker product than this one I received. I can't spread it out slowly, it just flies out . I'm glad I got it, the first one i ordered was $30 decided to order another and it was $37. Slug bait that works
