Rubbish reel
On first inspection this seemed a good combo despite the reel being on the wobbly side. However after a few light uses, the reel fell apart as the threads on the spindle had stripped, rendering it useless. UPDATE 6 MONTHS ON: The retailer replaced the reel. I replaced the line straightaway as it was of poor quality and I have had no problems with the combo since. It's a great rod for jig fishing. Perhaps not light enough to be the best for drop shotting, but still pretty good. So despite my initial comments, if you're new to lure fishing it is a great buy, just change the line before you try it out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Broke first outing
Managed only an hour with this rod before the the tip snapped off 4" from the end all i was doing was pulling a bit of line out against the lightly set drag of the reel. That been said the rest of it was of good quality the pre tied rigs etc and since buying a better purpose built drop shotting rod that day from my local tackle shop ive gone on to catch plenty of fish on the lures providedVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
