The tool itself is good and strong. However rather that remove the filter it destroyed it and made it harder to remover. Yes the filter had seen better days but still. Would not use again for the same job regardless of the filters condition. Could do with rubber where the teeth are to improve it.

I started a straight oil & filter change on my Triumph America motor bike but found the oil filter was so tight I could not undo it. I think the previous owner had fitted it & tightened it to 200 ft. Lbs. I tried the official multi sided socket on a breaker bar, with the engine hot, but only rounded off the flats on the filter case. Next the old trick of punching a large screwdriver through the filter case but this only tore the casing more. Last resort, out came these slip pliers & the 3 hard metal jaws gripped the damaged case & 6ft & 14 stone, with a few grunts, unscrewed it. Worth it's weight in gold .thank you very much.

These are without doubt the real deal .Had struggled with various types of strap contraptions but don't waste time now .With this, taking off the most stubborn filter became a breeze. Would definitely recommend.

Brought this a few days ago and this tool is brilliant very good and getting the filter off I had to use a spanner on one of my cars but that was a old one but really good still made this a much easier job would recommend
