Especially in the DB Schenker livery. Smooth drive and directional lights make this a great buy for the price! Good job Hornby. Next would be adding TTS to this.

The 92 is probably Hornby's best looking AC electric. It has working lights and is DCC ready, the motor is reasonably smooth. However with only 2 driven axles and not much weight it can struggle for traction with a decent length train...not ideal for what is meant to be a heavy freight locomotive. For the RRP Hornby expect you to pay it is not good value, but at discounted prices under £50 it is a fair buy.

after I had installed the dcc decoder it ran well . but the lights do not work as in real life so I am going to modify them by installing separate day and night lights marker lights and red rear lights with a new pcb fitted with resistors and pnp transistors. later I might fit a sound decoder and speaker.
