Perfect for the price
It does require use of the cotton sticks which I was a little disappointed in but for the price this seems to be a great little humidifier. Wish it had an auto shut off feature though. Looks neat, but really doesn't do much
Had it going in my office, a 10' x 12' room, for five days, only on during office hours, and it hasn't raised the humidity in the area one single percentage point. It just doesn't have the capacity to put out much (stated output is one ounce per hour). Save yourself the hassle, and just get a decent room size unit. Was sellers fault i think.
I think this was a good product they sold as new and it was used. Its supose to just fill to line with cool water only and last about 5 hrs mine wouldnt stay on 2 hrs. It says plug into computer usb but i used a phone usb to plug into wall. I dont keep liquid that close to my computer bad idea. I think if i can find it new i would get another. Great little humidifier, easy to hide and keeps my plants healthy and happy
This humidifier is easy to set up and conveniently plugs into any USB port. I love it for keeping at my desk to keep a humid environment for my plants and orchids. It conceals well behind my screen and is not noisy at all, the mist is very very fine but it still ends up wetting the desk area after about 3 minutes of use.

Little Mister
My Homedic humidifier died because I kept it full all the time. The piezo discs that provide the mist voodoo got tempermental and the on/off switch finally broke. So I went looking for a replacement. Portable USB humidifiers seem not to be very popular for some reason. I fill mine with colloidal silver and huff the stuff twice a day, somtimes more. The CVS design has only two faults I can see at first blush. The fluid resevoir does not lock in place. Tossing the unit in a bag and taking it with you is a chancey proposistion. I will leak or outright spill all over the place in transit. Secondly, the USB power cord is a propritary plug as it connects to the unit itself. The other end is a familliar USB plug. If at some point in the future the cable fails it can't be replaced with a common mini USB cord. That being said, right now it does the trick to knock all invading viriuses on their heels. I did buy two, just in case.

Small and useful

Ok, not much throughput
