Brilliant product for easy transfer/decal application
I was really struggling to apply a circular transfer to a curved shoulder pad on the model shown in the photo. I spend a good 20mins or so trying to apply with just water. It took me about 2 mins with the Mirco sol. Simple place the transfer in water, as you usually would. As that’s working apply the Micro sol to the area you want to apply to. Then apply the transfer. Once the transfer is in place apply more Mirco sol and gentle brush into the desired final place. I’ve heard wargamers talk about this product before but never realised it was so good. Very easy to use, great results.

Confusing product with disappointing results
Both products have the same instructions; very confusing....I would have expected one to be the before and the other to be the final application. That doesn't appear to be the case. After watching three youTube videos I proceeded with a better understanding. The effect was not as desired; the decals still curled and I had to keep reapplying the liquid until I finally got a good set. Microscale Micro Set + Micro Sol Decal setting solutions for scale modelling
This stuff is fantastic for the "Painted On" look for decals when finishing your models! If used correctly the Microscale 1-2 method will make your decals look, well, painted on! If your model has irregular surfaces like raised or recessed detail the softening solution will help your decal conform in or around the detail you are applying the decal on! There are other manufacturers of these solutions on the market for sure BUT in my opinion Microscales is THE best! Once you have mastered the technique you won't want to use anything else! Always thought these products would not really help as seemed to have no real problems with just using water. I was wrong! They really do help and make life easier to apply your decals. Brilliant stuff
This is essential if you're putting waterslide decals on uneven surfaces as it causes the decal to go all stretchy. Just make sure to get the decal in place before applying. Once you've put the solution on and it's wet leave it alone as the decal will be really weak while the solution is working and you may damage it (Like I did with one of them) but if done right the results are amazing, the Mercedes badge on the steering wheel in the photo is on an uneven surface as the badge sticks up from the wheel, but you can see from there how the decal has set around it, and the bit to the left is where I stretched it while wet so is a little damaged but others I've done have been perfect

Micro Set and Micro Sol
Amazing solution to soften the transfer so it fits over slightly raised surfaces or into grooves and then helps adhesion. Perfect for model railways where transfer may need help over strapping. Works just as well for model aircraft with recesses in the wings etc. Also helps with vehicles like tanks and lorries over riveting. Gives a more settled look to transfers on plastic but will work on practically any material. A small amount goes a long way. Makes for a superior professional finish. The only way to fit decals.
Fixing decals well to a compound curve is impossible without unsightly wrinkling. These products allow the modeller to fix the decals on around awkward curves.
