Eddie Van Halen has been using it on his guitars for 5 years. It's simple to use and it works. It couldn't be easier to install. You remove the string locking screw from the low E-saddle on the bridge and replace it with one of the 2 D-Tuna locking screws provided, the spring assembly, and the D-Tuna.

The VanHalen d-tuna drop d tuner is a great tool!
With a d-tuna, you can go from low e, to d with just a turn of the tuner, and back again. It is a great invention! And it works good!

This product is of Eddie van halen. It's very popular among guitar players since it's eddie who invented it. I put it on my Sterling AX3 music man axis copy and I have to say it works perfectly. I get drop d tuning by pulling the thing out of the bridge and it goes right back to E when you push it back in. So it's really convenient for switching from drop d playing to regular E tuning. I think it also makes the guitar sound much better since the bridge I put in it is a cheap Floyd rose imitation. The guitar sounds much better now. But I also changed the pickup wiring so that could be the cause of much improvement in tone.

Awesome device for drop d tuning on the fly
It’s easy to install and it’s the perfect tool, to do a quick drop tuning without having to detune your guitar. Very cool invention. I highly recommend it to anybody that has to switch to drop DTuning quickly without DeTuning your guitar.
