Excellent product - light to pack, cheap enough to keep one in every vehicle and day pack, and it does the job just fine. Few other tools or accessories do the job that these tweezers do. Don't venture into undergrowth without checking for ticks afterwards, including in your more intimate body areas - using a hand mirror as required. Fresh ticks are tiny, like black pin heads. Remove them by placing the tweezer jaws up against your skin, and pulling gently and steadily until the head pulls out of your skin. Then crush the tick on a hard surface. Never squeeze the body of the tick, or apply any lotion, or cigarette ends - any of these will cause the tick to regurgitate its gut contents into your body- which is exactly what you are trying to avoid. It's the gut contents that can contain the harmful Lymes Disease bacterium. If worried, and especially if you get a circular red rash around the bite, or you soon after get flu symptoms, go see your GP/MD and request a Lymes Disease blood test. Ignoring it can have devastating health consequences.Read full review

This tick remover is very well made from stainless steel. It will cope with any size of tick even the very small ones, which is where a lot of the other tick removers struggle. It is very compact, lightweight and easy to carry everywhere with you. It is important to take every precaution to stock tick bites from happening, but if you do pick up a tick this is a very good piece of gear to remove it swiftly. With the apparent rise of Lyme Disease it is a must have piece of kit for the outdoors person.

Ticks? Hah. This is for serious splinter removal. The sharp points are perfect for excising small shards of metal or wood from your hands. I have 4 of these. I'm a fabricator. These are the best tweezers for taking out splinters that I have ever seen. They are so sharp you can go in after the offending skelf and cut it out. Highly recommended.

Well made and far superior to the plastic removers I’ve used in the past, these tweezers are just the right size for keeping in your pocket when out walking the dog or working with horses. I ordered from a UK supplier and was very pleased with the speed of delivery.

These are the most effective tweezers you could find for getting round the tick's snout and not squeezing it like a toothpaste tube and we're talking juveniles here. Tally so far is 8 successful removals this season.

For the price these tweezers are exceptional, especially for outdoor leaders and instructors; they're more robust and more adaptable than the plastic tick removal tools and very high quality.

Not a huge amount to say really - but I can confirm that these are well made and appear decent quality. A very fine tip that can properly and accurately grip just the head of the tick. Recommended
