    Excellent bundle for sewers

Misplaced my tracing wheels and also needed to replenish my dressmaking tracing paper - this bundle made it easy to purchase both at one go. Wheel turns well with no hesitation, the assorted colours paper marks cleanly and is sized to be easy to manage - I keep the wheels and paper in a large zip-grip bag tucked into my sewing box when not needed. Very happy with this purchase.

Not like it used to be

I have bought this brand of transfer paper many years ago and love it and have been using it on a regular basis. I needed some new transfer paper and so bought this same brand. Unfortunately this transfer paper is not anything like it used to be. Some of the sheets work but compared to the original pack of transfer paper I have, will only leave a very light transfered mark which is difficult to see. The dark blue sheet is the worst one in the pack and feels just like a sheet of coloured paper with next to no transfer carbon material on the sheet. Maybe I just got a bad pack but it has been a bit disappointing.

  • Insufficient "Tell Us More" Options.

So far I have used the red and white. The red was quite pale and I had to go over it several times. It worked better with the serrated wheel than the smooth wheel. The white did not work at all for me. I thought I had the carbon the wrong way around, but I hadn't. I then had to check to see if it was a packing piece that was placed between the coloured carbons, again, no. It is the first time I had ever used carbon paper on fabric and therefore cannot make a comparison with other brands. The white seemed particularly hard, so I wondered if it was old stock and had dried. I do think the idea it good. It worked better on silk lining that denim. I will continue to use these carbons, as I like the idea and hope that I getter a more successful result next time.

  • 'Hemline' dressmaker's carbon tracing paper.

The sheets are stiff and difficult to smooth out having been folded up in the pack. Thus it is not easy to use them with confidence that the markings you are making on your garment are accurate. You need to press hard to get a well defined transfer. However the sheets are mess free and best used for small areas rather than large owing to their small dimensions.

  • OKish

I have tried to use carbon paper in dress making off and on for years and I find it is not working for me.The only way is good old fashioned tailor tacking which takes time. The product was well wrapped and presented and was of good quality. Perhaps everyone else will have better luck using it than me.

  • Ideal and easy to use

This is so easy to use. Leaves light Mark's on fabric . Use in between the fabric so not leaving marks on the right side. Easier than making tacking.

  • Desperate measures

I’ve tried using this but was not impressed with it. No matter how hard I pressed on the tracing wheel it was not making a good transfer to fabric underneath. I was using white against a dark blue fabric and there was hardly a mark
