Disappointing, I expected better
The ceramic material prevents the thread from being cut, but because it is only at the enter & exit ends of the thread tube, it also prevents the thread from sliding through easily while trying to put the thread in. I even used a bobbin threader which works well with all my other bobbins, but the threader gets stuck on the edge of the ceramic. If you don't switch thread often, this bobbin will be fine. But if you do, look elsewhere. I own and love their scissors and clamps, but these are not in the same league as far as design.

Not worthy of the Dr Slick brand.
I love Dr Slick so this was a huge disappointment. The ceramic end actual cut the thread during gentle wrapping. And like another reviewer stated, the ceramic is only at the end so can be a pain to thread. Buy something else from Dr. Slick, but don't buy this.

not worth the money
In the description it says the tube is ceramic, but that's only the two ends. Also, it's hard to thread through the tube, as when it gets to the out opening, it gets stuck.
