    Neverending Demonstration

    This receiver has a demonstration feature that flashes the illumination, displays nonsense, and prevents you from seeing the clock. I pressed every button on the receiver trying to stop it. It even teases you with part of the demonstration that says, “Turn off Demo mode in the Settings menu”. No. There is no mode setting in the menus. The manual that came with my receiver says nothing about the Demo mode. I found a real manual online. It says right up front. “Press magnifying glass divided by ENTER (aka, the knob) within 30 seconds to turn off the Demonstration mode. Otherwise the Demo mode remains ON and the unit starts the demonstration if there is no operation for 30 seconds." Within 30 seconds of when? I tried turning the unit off, then back on, then pressing the knob. Nothing. I tried turning the key off, then back on, the pressing the knob. Nothing. I give up. I will just cover it with a cloth so I don't have to look at the Demo.
