Comfort wheel for mice, small hamsters and baby rats
I bought two of these comfort wheels for our adult rats however they’re much too small even though it shows that it’s supposed to be specifically FOR rats and small animals of that nature. I just ended up putting the two wheels in our mice’s setup which worries me as I bought a comfort wheel for my mice in a smaller size. The mice fit perfectly on this size which I believe is a “large”. So if you’re buying for rats, hedgehogs, hamsters, etc., please buy the XL size as these are too small for small rodents.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My hamster loves it!
This is a better size for normal hamsters. Our hamster absolutely loves this and runs all night. I mean, he's running almost every time we wake up. When I bought it, I wondered why they say it's a "quiet wheel" but now I know. Hamsters run at night and this isn't super quiet. It may he quieter than others but we can here it on the second floor when he's running downstairs. Not quiet but a great wheel anyhow. Pet Approved!
We bought one of these for my daughter's large male hamster and he jumped on it immediately! Plus we noticed he uses this one more than his last one which was the kind that had gaps between each bar. He can also run much faster on this one which I'm guessing may be because he doesn't have to worry about his little feet falling through the bars as he's running. Maybe now he will lose the little weight he gained from not getting enough exercise with his last wheel. Hedgehogs love it!

Gets A- for budget, A+ for happy hamster but D on noise scale!!
Contrary to what this item appears to be upon opening it( it is extremely smooth, silent, large and you're excited for you and hammie...Tah-Dah...THEN youR Syrian hamster jumps in and hold on to your ears! When on the stand the weight of the hamster causes it to vibrate and tilt a little upon the running process ;the part that holds the wheel on AKA bracket in the middle just has too much vibration so all you hear is "BANG..TICK..BANG TICK bang bang bang bang bang bang! Now the wheel itself runs fantastic and the hamster is just titillated WITH JOY OF EXERCISE! Tried Removing stand and attaching it to the cage (which by the way bends the cage bars cuz it's too thick)it's still makes a lot of noise so basically here's the rundown... if you keep your hamster in the room with you and you don't sleep well with noise..beloved hammie gets evicted. Far.. but if you sleep heavy like I do and you know that your hamster is VERY happy and you can try to ignore the noise it's a great bargain. I think there are a couple of more expensive much quieter versions of Wheels out there but for what I paid ..for now this will do fine.
