Hotshot best for wound dressings.
Friars Balsam has been used for over a century to treat wounds. Known as "hotshot" in the first world war. Commercial and health service alternatives (wipes etc) are now made with aqueous solutions and leave the wound wet, so dressings won't stick to the skin. A wipe-over with FB cleans the skin, is antiseptic, and soothes any irritation. It leaves a dry sticky layer that the adhesive dressing sticks to very securely.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

An old Favourite
You don't find this sort of thing in normal chemists now as they have made loads of there things and confused us all but Friar's was the main thing you would find in the cupboard for chest and coughs years ago and it is still just as good, still available and works.
