Hair today, and there it stays

Not a fan of click clack plug holes but we were left with no choice after botched job saw taps and basin replaced. That meant the traditional carer's hair wash of an elderly mum who struggles with washing her hair in the shower became more difficult. How to stop hairs going down the plug hole? This works, in fact better than the click clack, but one reservation. It was stuck so fast to the cardboard container that on first test in the sink a pile of soggy cardboard slipped away instead. gunked up beneath the device there to stop stuff going down the plug hole. Stuck fast too, we used Sticky Stuff remover. Otherwise does the trick and great value.

    A sticky task

Basically good concept but the item is stuck fast to the packaging with ultra efficient adhesive and it takes hours of soaking and scraping to remove it. Whether this will affect long term durability remains to be seen. The adhesive is in three layers and seems totally unnecessary so beware. A great pity.

  • Packaging

The product is fine but the way it was packaged was terrible. The plastic strainer was packed on a glossy flat card with a plastic blister over the top, however the strainer was stuck onto the card that was very difficult to remove. Had to resort to soaking and the use of a solvent to remove the glossy card.

  • good for pop up bath

bought this for a new bath that had a pop up bath hop..it did collect all hair that would collect while draining in my bath..it made easy to clean and also stopped the hair from going further down the drain which meant no blockage...would recommend this...

  • A very nifty little drain trap

Just what I wanted to catch any hair in the shower drain. It works well, and seems to be a good quality so it should last well. Very pleased. My only gripe is that it arrived completely stuck to the black cardboard backing, and it took a lot of soaking in hot water before I could gently scrape all of the paper from the back of this item. Even then, the cardboard has left a tell-tale black stain on the back (see pic), though fortunately you don't see this when it's in use.

  • Maybe suitable for a big plughole?

Not entirely sure which sink it's for, we tried it in the bath & the water wouldn't drain because the holes were too small, we can't use it basically, maybe it's better in a bigger plug hole??

  • Does the job!

I bought this to cover a very unsightly, rusty plug hole in the bath and it did the job perfectly. It doesn't like hair dye or fake tan and tends to stain but otherwise great.

  • Waste of money

The product does now work. The holes are too small to even allow water to pass through which means the bath gets full of water while you are trying to shower. Poor design

  • .works well. Good item.

Works perfectly. Tends to get stained from the shampoo/conditioner eventually but cheap enough to replace. Recommend

  • Does its job

Bought to replace similar. It fits over my shower drain and captures the hairs.
