Airfix QUICK BUILD is an exciting range of simple, snap together models suitable as an introduction to modelling for kids (ages 5 and up), or as a bit of construction fun for the more experienced modeller. The pre-coloured pieces simply push together, without glue or paints, to build an impressive model which can then be decorated with the included self-adhesive stickers. Plane models also come with their own display stand to show off your handiwork! The whole QUICK BUILD range is manufactured here in the UK and features some of the most iconic vehicles ever constructed! Suitable for ages 5 years +.
This product is great for any young aviation enthusiast. It assembles like a Lego set, but the finished product looks like a scale model. I bought this to practice painting and weathering techniques, and it worked perfectly. The only problem I had with this model is that the propeller can easily be knocked off, and you have to remove several pieces to put it back on; as such, I wouldn't say it has as much playability as a Lego set. It is still primarily for display, but it is durable. The kit is approximately 1:46 scale and is very accurately molded, so any 1:48 scale P-51 decals would go great on the model. Overall, a great product for any fan of the proud P-51 Mustang.

Arrived well packed and well within time, a gift to keep someone occupied during the school holidays. It also gives them an interest in just how things of old and new differ in design, jets of today and old wonderful aircraft which still fly to this day. I will now take them to air shows to expand on the interest.
