Crimson Trace LG-105
For an old school shootist wheel guns rule. Fool proof reliability. Always on fixed sights. Small, light weight back-up when you need it. While your 40 year old weapon may function as good as new sometimes you don't. When eyes are not as sharp as they were and low light conditions may hinder your ability for a quick on target fix a laser sight will make all the difference. This LG-105 makes your old snub nose and you perform like new. It will bring new life to your old stand by. This old shootist may actually be quicker than he was 40 years ago with this laser grip on the little J-Frame S&W. What a great upgrade for a trusted reliable friend. Needed to modify these grips to make them work with my hand size.
These grips may be fine for some hands/fingers, but I can barely get the laser to operate with my finger placement when gripping the gun. I'm trying to build up the activation button to enable me to operate the laser when gripping the grips normally. I won't trust it to operate correctly in a crisis setting as they were from the factory. Hopefully I can modify it to work with my hands very time I grip the weapon. I'd read about the problems with inserting the batteries. After about 45 minutes of trying I found an easy way to do it. Just place the batteries on top of the holders and use the opposite side grips to hold them in pl aace as you tighten the two ties around the frame. Hard to explain in detail here but if you get these grips you'll probably understand my method once you try putting in the batteries.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

fit and finish is compromised
The batteries are more difficult to install than should be necessary, and they do not install in a fashion that seems like they stay in place during recoil (though they must, else the product would not have made it to market). In my case, the two halves of the grips are mismatched, such that sanding was necessary to take the edges off. I should have bought this years ago!
Once you zero the laser to your target distance it is easy to put all 5 shots on target! Grips are larger than original wood grips so it is easier hold, yet concealable. Don’t forget the batteries for life registration.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice fit

LG 105 Red laser
The red laser is great in shade or or other low light situation but I prefer the green version for daylight shooting. The LG 105 is well made and fits well.
