Hornby Pendolino Set R1155
Excellent starter set for model railways with tilting action, directional lighting, complete with a starter track, layout mat and train controller. Smart paint finish and graphics. Excellent running train in both directions with DCC Ready sockets in both power cars allows train to be used on analogue and digital track systems when Digital DECODERS are added.

For very large flat straight layouts- it would not work on mine.
A lovely looking train authentic in every aspect, although there would be more carriages in the real world. Unfortunately the weight distribution between the drive car and the overhead pick up was faulty in my set and together they did not work. The drive car worked fine without the 3 rear coaches and vice-versa. I changed to the simpler non-tilting East Coast set. Outstanding Model Train!!!
With working front and rear lights (even when using analogue controls) and a working "tilt" mechanism as the train hugs the tightest of bends, this train is a delight to watch purring around the track at great speed...
