SUPER UFO PRO 8 IS EXCELLENT!!
Let me start by saying that there are too many reviews for this product written by people who work for "everdrive" The reviewers that work for neverdrive bash this product while simultaneously promoting theirs. It's so obvious that they are not real reviews. It's sad and pathetic that they attempt to promote their product by falsely degrading the super ufo 8. That's not advertising it's mudslinging. The SUPER UFO 8 is an excellent product for those who are video game and computer savvy. You can play your ROMs via SD Card. You can also rip your game cartridges to your SD Card using the cartridge slot on the top of the Super Ufo 8. You can also Save your battery-back-up game saves from your SNES cartridges to the SD Card. Two things the more expensive neverdrive cannot do. The GUI is simple and efficient and looks like you would expect a 16-bit menu to look like. The Super Ufo 8 can play SNES games that have the special enhancement chips if you have a game with the specific chip you need. There were several different types of these chips used on different games. If you have a SNES cartridge that has the chip type for the ROM you want to play, you can play any of games (ROMs) that have that specific chip. (There are lists of the chips and the games that correspond to them online) This is a great product and it works well. The games don't take long to load and it plays perfectly. You would never no the difference because there is no difference. Wow, I just wrote the slogan for the Super Ufo for them. A good way to keep your save files saved
Nothing in this world last forever, that's a cold fact, in the SNES cartridges the save of our files will fail someday when the inner battery dries, you can change, it but you could lose all those hours played on your RPG or your 103% in DKC 3, with this adapter you can have a second chance to keep those files saved. For the lovers of import games this adapter is great, you don't need to modify your console to play those "weird sheped" cartridges, even, you can dump the rom of those games, apply a translation patch, and play the game. The only thing that I could complain about the Super UFO is the lack of detailed information to do the correct dump or save state, you must figure it out or look that information on the internet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Know what you're buying
The SuperUFO Pro 8 is great if you know what you are buying. First and foremost, this cart will allow you to put an SD card in it to allow you to play game 'backups' or smc files. Just be aware that it cannot play special chip games such as the super fx chip and others. If the original game cart had a special chip in it, this will not play it. This cart will allow to backup your original carts as well. Allows you to play super famicom carts in your snes as well. A great cart for what it is. lower priced alternative snes flashcart
If you are looking for a flash cart but cant afford the sd2snes or everdrive this works well enough. you might have to watch a few videos on youtube or google to get going. It will play most of the japanese or us library on an american console as long as they dont have special chips. You can find a list of games that have special chips on wikipedia. Best thing ever.
