Original Victorinox quality at a sensible price. Easy to fit using a small punch to drive it in to the fitting hole or carefully squeeze in with pliers.. NOTE the 'fits 91mm+ knives' refers to the overall body length of the particular knife (basically the length of the red plastic part...

I had two Swiss Army Anglers' pen knives 91mm long and both had a broken scissor spring; so I ordered two. One spring fitted easily - I clamped the spring in with pliers and it went straight in. I have not been able to fit the other spring into the second set of scissors and have tried a number of ways of doing it after watching YouTube videos on the subject; the spring just wont go in!

There are so many measurements I found while trying to check I'd purchase the correct one so I'll add some more that may help for people that think like I do. The length of the scissors on my Victorinox are 6.5cm, and I think a better measurement of the spring would be from the coil attachment end to the bend, which is 2.1cm (21mm). Replacing it took quite a bit of pressure to push out the broken spring. I used an allen key that was the same diameter as the coiled end to push it through. There are plenty of videos on the you-tubes, that great video manual in the sky. Once fitted it looks and feels like new - if they'd said this was a genuine part I couldn't argue, though it is just a small, bent bit of metal so how far it could possibly deviate is, well, as questionable as where I might be going with this review. What was I talking about? Oh yes. Scissors. Fixed.Read full review

This is a quality product but you need the proper tools to fit. It is fairly easy to tap the old spring out - I used a small nail - but it is virually impossible to get the new one in unles you have the equipment shown on the Youtube video.

The springs used in Victorinox Swiss Army Knives, both for the scissors and pliers, are pretty fragile. It could have easily been better engineered. That said, they aren't too difficult to replace when they break as long as you have access to decent tools. They are usually very expensive for what they are, but these are extremely well priced and are genuine (I'm always a bit suspicious of very well priced originals on ebay). Very pleased and 'when' they break, which all VSAK springs do, I hope this seller is still selling at this price point. Highly recommended and trustworthy!
