Reliable and effective
A reliable automatic centre punch that is made in the UK. This version seems to be well made and gives a reliable dint time after time. Turning the top section to adjust the strength of punch is effective. The punch is shorter than most of the low-cost versions and it can be securely clipped into the top-pocket of a work overall without being intrusive. The pocket clip also prevents it from rolling away when placed on an uneven surface. A worthy Eclipse tool
The 65-171R is a worthy successor to the Eclipse 171, and works very nicely, and reliably, unlike a number of other unbranded and branded automatic punches I have tried over the last decade. The adjustment range is excellent, ranging from very light dots to quite hefty ones.The pocket clip on my example needed bending slightly to work properly, but that's a very minor grumble.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
